Skip Ahead using Samsung remote on Direct TV App is no longer available on the upgraded APP

Ever since DTV upgraded the APP you no longer have a skid ahead option while watching recorded shows. To make matters worse, using the 30 sec jump ahead, I get a message “System network is congested…” when trying to fast forward thru the commercials and the show reverts back to the start. My TV is connected directly to the router via CAT 5 cable and my internet is ATT fiber. I do not use the DTV streaming box. I have re-installed the APP, reset my router and unplugged / plugged the TV for 60 seconds.

This appears to be a DTV issue? Has anyone experienced this and how can it be corrected?

The Samsung stream app has never been very good. Stand-alone streaming devices work much better.
