Scrolling through guide
I'd like some input from the community on an issue I'm experiencing when scrolling through the guide. Let's say that I'm currently on the science channel and I want to get to HBO (guide is sorted by network not by channel). There's two ways to get there (maybe three). I can use the up arrow and go one line at a time until I get to HBO; this is the long way
I can press and hold the up arrow to get there more quickly. I suppose the third way is to press and hold the down arrow until I get to HBO
The issue I have is that when I press and hold the up arrow and then let go after a few seconds, what's highlighted is the network name. I have to arrow over to the program content and select that to watch it. So, why is the network name getting highlighted ONLY when pressing and holding the up arrow?

What's your streaming device?
With a DirecTV Stream box you can simply enter the channel number directly.

I have a DirecTV stream box but I don't have channels memorized. When I want to see what's on, I scroll through the guide in either direction slowly. Depending on whatever channel I'm currently on, when I know where I want to go, I'll use the directional arrows to get there.

A Favorite Channel list (filter) can help minimize the scrolling since you'll only see the channels you typically watch.

The point is though is that this should not happen. I'm trying to figure out why the network name gets highlighted only when quickly scrolling up
I wouldn't want to set favorites and only see those channels. What if I wanted to view something not in the favorites?

Does the Direct TV programming have a setting to turn off the auto scroll on the guide? I want to be able to scroll through on my own.

The no longer happens after switching to the Gemini Air.
