roku remote
My Roku remote is having issues with DirecTV and only Directv. It will skip multiple channels when trying to move up or down one channel on the guide. It also does this when trying to move left or right with the remote. It started this about a week ago.

Roku TV or Ruku streaming device?
Have you tried resetting the Roku or deleting and reinstalling the DirecTV Stream App?

I have the same issue. Seems like it is due to the update on 6/27/23
i have restarted, reinstalled. The remote works fine with all other apps so it is not the remote.

I have the same issue. It is happening on every Roku streaming device, only with the DirecTV app. We have 6 TVs with Roku. Our DirecTV boxes don't have any issues. With Roku, we can't select a channel in guide without it skipping over all of the channels. We can't select Library in the menu, it scrolls quickly to the right and doesn't stop. We've tried restart, reinstall with no change. It's frustrating since we record everything and watch at our convenience. Not anymore, so frustrating!

I have the same issue on multiple Roku's with the DirecTV app only. I Uninstalled the app and re-installed with no luck to resolve the issue.

We have the same issue exactly. Can’t select specific channels when the “right” or “left” button is pressed. Exact same issue as the other users. It is only affecting DirectTV Stream App.

We have a Sharp Smart TV with Roku built in so there’s no way to reboot our Roku here unfortunately.

The TV itself should have a reset - have you checked in the options menu?

I did check, yes thank you! Turns out, it was making the same actions when we were in the Sirius XM app so we found the restart systems settings in the tv and so far in the Sirius XM app it seems to be operating correctly. Will update about the Direct TV Stream app. Thank you!

Resetting and restarting the tv seems to have solved it. I am betting that because we have the “quick start on” where the tv is in standby mode doesn’t allow it to totally shut down and so it messed up a little. I recommend everyone try that. Thanks for the help, all!

I have the same issue and it’s only with DirectTV Stream. I moved over 3 spots then back 2 spots. I even paired a universal remote to see if that would work and it didn’t so it is a Direct Tv issue

Have you tried any other apps? It also had the same issue when we used Sirius XM app. Completely rebooting the TV from the settings menu has resolved our issue entirely. We haven’t had an issue since on Direct TV stream or any other apps. We tried using another factory remote as well and it still did it but after rebooting the system it was fixed.
