Regional Sports Channel Not Showing Up In Guide or Any Other Way

The availability of the regional sports channel, Altitude, is the entire and sole reason I signed up for DirecTV service. Last Thursday when I was still on my free trial I was able to watch a game on Altitude without problem. The channel showed up in my guide, I was able to navigate to it and watch it for many hours. Yesterday (Sunday) I went to watch another hockey game on Altitude and the channel isn't even showing up in the guide. When I search for the channel it doesn't show up. I've confirmed the channel is available to my zip code and county about seven times. I chatted with DirecTV support through the website several times yesterday, and all instances they failed to help me. They also failed to follow up. They also presumably failed to escalate the issue further like they promised me several times they did. The channel and programming show up on my cell phone no problem, just not through my TV or even when using my computer. All three devices (TV, Phone, computer) are all connected to the same WiFi. I've tried updating my home location on the app on my TV and it says it matches and no need to update. I'm at a loss of what to do, but if I contact DirecTV chat again and get the same type of service, I'm going to explode. I've done a lot of searching on this issue too, and I'm by far not the only one who has experienced this, yet no one ever shows a resolution that ever happened. I suspect I'll be dropping DirecTV service ultimately, but it being one of only two choices I have to watch my favorite hockey team I'd really like to have resolution to this issue.

I am experiencing the same issue on both the DirecTV app on my Chromecast with Google TV (newest chromecast) as well as through my DirecTV account on my laptop. The DirecTV app on my phone works fine. I have the Choice package, which is the cheapest option to still include the Regional Sports Networks.

I don't have any Parental Controls turned on in the first place, so it isn't that. When I went to Preferences - Parental Controls it was set to off. I had to establish a PIN number to turn them on to check content restrictions, checked in those options and nothing was selected. Turned parental controls back off.

@Ludwick577  Someone from the DirecTV Help posted to this chain with asking me to check the Parental Control settings. They apparently have deleted their comments since, as there were two DirecTV Help comments from this JhonR person at DirecTV since your last comment, but they're both gone now.

You said that you could see the RSN"s when you had the trial. When you signed up for the trial did they give you a free add on trial for the "sports pack" ---or is it possible your choice package was downgraded to "entertainment" once the trial ended?

@Ludwick577 I signed up for the Choice package, and that's what I was on during the Trial as far as I'm aware. If they gave me a free add on for the "sports pack" during the trail period then I'm unaware of that. I shouldn't need a sports pack add on as far as I'm aware. Everything I've seen all I need is a minimum of the Choice package to receive the Regional Sports Networks. But to add, I don't see anything listed in my add on section of my account. My account today shows that I'm still on the Choice package too.

For everyone's awareness, the channels started magically showing up again. The support team said they didn't do anything, but the channels just started showing up about an hour ago on my TV app as well as on my laptop. It appears to have magically resolved itself, after the channels were unavailable for well over 24 hours.
