Recording are restarting from the beginning while I am watching

In the past few weeks I have noticed on my samsung frame tv, that anytime I watch a recording on the directv stream app, the show will buffer, then when it is finished buffering, it will restart the recording at the very beginning. Then I will have to fast forward to where it began to buffer to resume watching. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the directv app on the tv, but the issue remains. This is only occurring on one samsung tv inside my house, none of the other TVs connected to the same wifi network have the same issue.

Exactly the same thing has been happening to me with my Samsung Frame TV. I am also streaming with the DirectV app. I have tried rebooting my router & reinstalling my DirectV app (on my tv). I checked my WiFi speed several times & it’s very good. I’m only using one other device at most besides the tv when this happens. Just like you describe, it’s only happening on my Samsung Frame tv. I’ve been streaming with this tv for about 3 years now without any real issues until this happened. My other tv is connected to the same WiFi & doesn’t have this problem. I contacted DirectV for help & got nowhere.
if anybody out there knows how to fix this, I’d be very grateful. I watch almost exclusively recorded shows, so it’s happening several times a day & has been doing this for weeks now.

From what I have found it looks like Direct TV did an update a few weeks ago and it is causing this issue. They claim to be trying to "pull back" the update soon but it looks like there isnt a fix other than using something like a firestick for now, but thats is all from what I have found so far.
