Recording a sporting event and then watching it later in a different location

I have a question about recording a sporting event and then watching it later.  In this example, our home base is in Houston.  DirecTV Stream has regional sports networks so we would be able to record and later watch Houston Astros and Houston Rockets games while we are in Houston.  But let's say we want to watch Houston Astros and Houston Rockets games while we are away from home and located in California.  We can't watch Houston Astros and Houston Rockets games live in California because the regional sports networks we are allowed to watch in California would be some California teams rather than Houston teams.  So we can't watch LIVE Astros and Rockets games in California.  But what if we set our home (Houston) DirecTV Stream cloud DVR to record all Astros and Rockets games.  Could we then watch those recorded Astros and Rockets games while in California?  If yes, how long after the program records can we watch the game?  Can we start watching the recording after the recording started recording one minute ago?  10 minutes ago?  1 hour ago?  Do we have to wait until the game is completed recording before we can start watching it in California?  Thanks!
