Recorded program does not start from beginning of recording

I just signed up to Directv streaming and I'm using AppleTV device with Directv app.  I've recorded various Olympics events.  However, when I start watching the recordings, the program does not start from the beginning.  For example the US soccer game, the recording started 35mins into the game.  For sports events, this completely ruin the recording experience as I saw the scores before I could rewind.  I read some proposed fixes online to delete/reinstall Directv app and restart the AppleTV.  After trying the fixes, the next 2 recorded program did start from the beginning but by the 3rd recorded program it reverted back to starting somewhere in the middle.

I've seen many complains online of this issue that were posted at least a few years ago and seems every year someone complains again.  This seems such a basic Directv app software bug in AppleTV.  I'm very surprised Directv software team is still unable to fix.  Not sure how Directv can compete with YoutubeTV if they cannot fix basic bugs.  I would be cancelling Directv unless there is known fix as I mostly record sporting events.
