Currently they have them sorted by most recent post, regardless of how old the thread itself is. To toggle between recent thread and recent post seems reasonable. Don't know if they'll bother customizing the forum that far as it is more of a courtesy for us customers.
Still does seem like a nice Quality of Life improvement for the forum.
