Receiving error message "Authentication required. You need to sign into your google account" and "Try again"
We have directv stream and using the boxes provided by AT&T. After updating a password for google, can no longer access the Google play store app on the tv's in order to download new apps (which is the only way to download new apps on the box). Just get the error message above and no link so can sign in. Called Directv earlier today and they had never heard of it before...supposed to call back when they have found someone who can fix, but that was hours ago.

Ritchelle: Thank you for responding as I have yet to hear back from the directv streaming support person that I spoke to yesterday morning. The question before I do that is, is the account that is shown there tied to the directv streaming service itself or the google app store account? I have the same email account for both but different passwords so I didn't want to sign out of the "streaming service" just the google play store.

Hello @StuckInALoop24. Thanks for waiting. Please sign out from your Google account on your TV settings. Click Accounts and Sign in > Remove account and sign back in with your new password. Let me know if this resolves the issue.
