Profiles
Looks like Profiles are starting to roll out. Keep your eyes open for them. People are saying they have started to see them show up in other social media groups. None of my devices have recieved the update for them yet. This will be a nice addition we have been waiting a long time for them.

Any idea how you would know if available or not? Is it a setting change or what? All devices, or just the proprietary device? Just curious!

Right now from what I am reading. Chromecast devices seem to be getting the profiles first. I am not sure if it is a setting change or what it is as I have not yet received it on any of my devices yet and I have been checking settings to see if it will be a preference or device setting but have not seen any changes as of yet. I would have thought they would have rolled it out to their devices first but what do I know?

I figure it might be something like after you log in that a screen would be displayed with the primary user option and an add-user option.

That is what I was thinking too. I have reset my device and still do not have it yet. But if I had to guess I figure they are probably rolling it out in batches like they do their regular updates.

It would be nice to see an announcement, along with a description of the included features. But announcements and documentation are not things that DTV seems to be good at.

Well, I turned on my Roku today and I finally have profiles but it is not showing up on any of my Gemini devices only on my Roku.

I need a way to turn this “feature” off. Not everyone wants profiles or even needs them. Didn’t have it yesterday and all was fine. Now this is another thing they are forcing on customers who don’t need extra things just to watch tv.

Profiles are now available by the website using PC.

profiles are not “available”. profiles are FORCED on customers now. if I had a choice then it’s available.

Well, I was out for a few minutes this morning. I came home and now all my devices have profiles. I am finally glad to have it. But the only thing I see that I don't like about it is you can only create 5 different profiles.

@LGO We get it you do not like the profiles. But there have been many that have been asking for this for years. So please do not keep making the same comments over and over again. If you do not want to see the profile page launched every time you turn on your TV go into your settings and select preferences then select Profile on Launch and turn to the off position. This will keep you in the proprietary profile when you turn on and off your TV.
