Popping and crackling from Directv app

I am getting a popping and crackling comming from the directv app, only intermitently, but once it starts I have to either change the channel or rewind to make it go away.  The Directv is streaming from a Roku Ultra > home theater reciever > LG oled TV.  The speaker crackle/pop starts out of ALL speakers (not just one that would indicate wiring), and ONLY happens when using the Directv APP...it does not occur with plex, amazon prime, netflix, etc.....  Receiver is Onkyo 7.1 channel, speakers are KEF 6ohm.  Not that it should matter, but Stream box is hardwired and running 1gig service.

1)I have tried different Roku boxes on home theater, they all will crackle, but only on this system.  

2)I have tried 3 different sets of HDMI cables

3)Have rechecked all wiring connections

4)set connections to "dolby" (just in case)

5) finally and the most expensive, replaced the amp....still crackle.

Any ideas?  Once again it only happens intermitently, maybe once or twice a day....some times not for days, other times 3-5 times in one day.  Seems like it happens more when going to commercial, but on rarity in the middle of a tv show.

I am at a loss for ideas.

Have you retried reinstalling the app?

I have tried...no luck.   Also, on the other roku's still same thing.  They do not crackle when hooked up to TV directly....  I am thinking it is something with audio switching or Sap that is screwing with it on the reciever or maybe audio single using app is corrupted slightly that a receiver will pick up?  who knows.  Makes no sense why it ONLY does it on directv app, and none others.

I’m having the same issue. Directv is streaming from a Roku 4k streaming stick which is plugged directly into my LG G1 OLED TV. Issue started happening after I was watching football via one of Directv stream’s 4k channels…. Ever since then it happens constantly every 30 mins or so but only on the Directv streaming app. 

did you resolve the issue??
