Pausing a show
How can you pause a program on live tv and then come back to watch it 20 minutes later. It never seems to hold the program. I have never had this issue with other services. We have a Samsung TV with Apple TV. Also, how do you rewind a show quickly.

We are sorry for any inconvenience you had. In order to pause and rewind an on-live show, you can do it by pressing the pause button on your control. If you have DIRECTV Via Internet/STREAM, you’ll have 60 minutes starting from the moment the program was paused and the ability to resume watching or fast-forward through commercials or to a future point. A progress bar displays when live programming is paused. If paused for more than 60 minutes, the progress bar is discarded and returns to live programming. The progress bar is also discarded if you change channels, the next live program is a blackout, or you go to an app within the Apps tab.
Could you please confirm which service type you have? Also, what device are you using? Maria, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Using Gemini and the Directv remote, pausing ONLY works for ~15 minutes...at best. I've also tried using a roku dongle with the directv app attached to another tv - same result. somewhere in the directv streaming service there is a timeout feature preventing pausing for the whole 60 minutes. Maybe associated with a screen saver setting???

I have a Gemini device. Pausing a show only lasts a few minutes, then resuming goes to the real time place in the program and does not continue where it was paused. How can I fix this?

I've noticed lately when I pause (can't remember if it's a recording or live or both), and I return maybe 20-30 mins later, when I unpause, there's a BIG BLUE screen.
So, I return to the HOME button and it shows what's playing then I hit enter and my show returns.
