Pause Button

When I hit the pause button to pause the TV, after coming back to the TV and hit pause so I can continue watching, its as if it never paused.  Yes, I know for a fact that I paused it because the screen pauses.  When I come back there is a screen saver that reads, press any key to continue, so I press the pause button to continue.  Has this happened to anyone, and how can I pause the TV and come back to where it paused?

Hi there, your post caught our attention, and we’re here to help. Seems like you’re having difficulties to continue watching your shows after pausing the content. We would like to have more details. Could you tell us if this happened while watching Live TV or while watching recordings? Claudia, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Only watching live TV, never on recordings.

We appreciate this information. You can pause and rewind live TV for up to 60 minutes on your iPhone, Apple TV, Gemini and Roku devices. After this time, your TV will return to live programming. You should record a show after this timeframe if you want to watch it. More info here: https://www.directv.com/support/stream/article/000083528. Does this situation happen before the 60-minute mark? What streaming device?

Have you tried resetting it?  Or deleting and reinstalling the Stream App?

@DIRECTVhelp

The OP’s issue could definitely appear to be helpful if the solution were kept public. If the matter must be taken private, so be it, but I strongly suggest the solution be shared publically for the sake of public engagement. Thanks.
