Multiple accesses to direct tv stream

I have three Gemini air at home x one in the living room, one in the master bedroom and one in the guest bedroom. Thus far we’ve not found a time when all three are in use at the same time. Daily around 9pm-10pm we find 2 in use -one in the living room and one in the master bedroom.
peach of my daughters have Roku and can access our account via Roku and tge direct tv app using our user name and password.
what is the criteria on how many users can be using the app at one time? Does it matter if it’s via tge Gemini air access at home vs the roku/direct tv app? When we have the living room on and a daughter is using roku we can’t access via Gemini in the mbr. We have to turn off the living room. But interestingly when we do that we still can access it via the direct tv app on my iPad or iPhone.
can anyone please tell me what the rules are wrt how many users can be using the app at one time.

tyanks

Thanks for the quick response and for providing the link for streaming limits, @bcbsncjlj.

Hello, @richard276. DIRECTV STREAM (BYOD, No-Annual Contract, Contract) will give you unlimited concurrent streams while you're connected to your home network and up to 3 of those streams on-the-go. Let us know if you still need help. Sherma, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Thank you for the info.  In my home location, the Gemini air devices are connected to the internet. Is my existing wifi connection.

when I went to settings preferences and location it says not connected to the local network.  Is there something else I need to do so I don’t keep getting the limitations I am getting, how do i ensure my Gemini air devices are connected to my home network? Maybe I don’t have a home network

thank you

Who is your internet ISP? Sounds like your ISP is changing your modem IP location to be outside your designated home address, causing the service to think you are not at your defined home location. When this occurs you are limited to 3 streaming limits, of which only 2 can be used for streaming devices and the 3rd a mobile device.

Ok I use Cox Communications for my isp. I have good strong 1gb service. Can you advise how I fix this ?

That would be an issue with COX. DirecTV has no control of the IP address assignment.

On your Gemini box, go to Settings, Preferences, Location Settings and Home Location, it should say something like you are on your home location.  If not, then you will need to set home location.

It would seem that every once in a while your IP address changes, causing your box to think you are no longer at home.  I even have AT&T Fiber and this happens every few months or more.

Make sure if you have any kids using this away from home, that they Never select this option.
