Movies anywhere …

Just got a message while watching DIRECTV Stream that I can link my Movies Anywhere account to my DTV service. So I followed the instructions and did it and it didn’t tell me where to find them, but I found them under PURCHASES. There was between 100-200 movies that I had purchased from VUDU.

The problem is my DIRECTV stream box is 4K, allegedly, but the movies which are in 4K, only play in high definition on DIRECTV Stream.  That makes what I just did useless because why would I watch something in high definition that I can watch in 4K?

Hi, @janice805. If you're using a 4K-compatible streaming device such as Gemini via the Internet, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, or Apple TV, you need to have at least 25 Mbps available to stream 4K UHD resolution on your device to get the best experience. My TVs are LGOLED’s, all 4K and capable of getting Dolby Vision programming.

I have high-speed Internet, so that’s not the problem.

On my Roku it also gets 4K Dolby Vision because I watch programming from other streaming services in the same resolution. But when I logon to DIRECTV stream and go to those movies, it’s HD not 4K.

And I don’t know about Gemini via Internet boxes, but I have three boxes that I purchased from DIRECTV stream that are supposed to be 4K capable. It must have something to do with the DIRECTV stream software.
