Keep getting error code 0017

I have used DirectTV watch online for years.   I just got a new PC and it won't let me login, giving me the following error message that I am using my ATT Credentials instead of my DirectTV credentials.   Using the ***DIRECT TV*** webpage, I have recovered my username and reset my password.    After resetting, it redirects me to the ATT page to pay a bill.   When I return to the DirectTV page, it gives just keeps giving me the error message that I'm using my ATT and not Direct TV credentials.  I chatted with DirectTV support online for more than an hour and all they could do is give me a phone number to call to invest even more time.   ICYMI: I'm paying DirectTV, not the other way around.   My time is valuable and it is a disgusting absence of customer service that this is happening and necessitating this much time on my end for a resolution for something that i'm paying for.   Fix this.

This is a public forum of other customers, not official DIRECTV support. I suggest you try turning off any VPNs or ad-blockers, trying a different browser to log into directv, or seeing if you have this issue on other devices.

Are you or have been an AT&T subscriber? If so are you using the same credentials to log in to the service? Or do you have linked accounts?

I had ATT Uverse, then DirecTV.  I've also always had ATT internet, which is now Internet Air.   But, as I mentioned, I start on the DirecTV Stream webpage (https://stream.directv.com), and have recovered my username and reset my password from that page.  So if ATT and DirectTV are seperated, any username recovered from that page and any password reset from that page should be entirely unaffiliated with the ATT pages.

This is a known problem with the service when sharing the same credentials, ever since the split of the 2 into separate companies. Both services now use the same app. Many posts related to the issue. So are you using the same credentials?
