How to turn off Pause Ads
Sometimes I need to focus on something besides TV, so I hit the pause button.
There have been ads that pop up when I hit the pause button.
But this week I've noticed the ads now have motion.
The TV screen is still alive and moving when I hit the pause button.
How do I turn those off?
We stream DirecTV, so turning off the internet is not an option.

Unfortunately pause screen adds cannot be disabled. The ads are very persistent with streaming services.

Hi there, thanks for your inquiry. Pause ads cannot be disabled as they inform customers about products or content of interest. The programmers, not DIRECTV, decide which TV shows, seasons, episodes, and ads are broadcasted. Also, Pause Ads may not appear on all channels.

@lastday23 I am using the Gemini Air device on DirecTV Stream. Push the Play/Pause button--push the BACK button. No ads. (Note: Not a permanent fix. Must push BACK every time you pause.) If you have screen saver turned on it will pop up in 5 minutes, but the pictures don't have motion. If you don't have the Gemini Air, experiment with the buttons your device's remote. Hope this helps. (Another Note: The ads that pop up and the screen saver are in NO way related to one another.)
