How do I delete an On Demand show from continue watching?

There is no delete for "continue watching". Best you can do is fast-forward to the end and eventually it will be removed.

This is a pretty sad situation. I hope someday DIRECTV gives us a way to remove these things.

Just one of the many deficiencies with the service. Based on history, someday will be a long period to wait.
