Hamster on wheel
Does anyone get the "Commercial Break in Progress, Programming will continue shortly."
It happens all the time. In one hour program the hamster came on 8 times for 1-4 minutes each time.
Tech came out and it's still not fixed.

This happens with the streaming channel does not show you the commercial. It's nothing a tech can fix. What channel(s) and show(s) are you seeing this?

Do a search for Commercial break in progress on this forum. This topic has been discussed sooooo many times.

Thanks. We get that now. Never had any streaming svc before and it's odd that no one who works for ATT Customer Support knew what I was talking about. The tech who came out yesterday hadn't heard of the hamster before and he's been a tech for ATT for 8 years! lol

The hamster is rather new since the DTV Stream name change. You won't see it every time they use the commercial break message filler. That's due to not having any local sponsors for that channel, so they fill it with the commercial break message. If you had cable TV before, it's similar to the locals they throw in within each hour.

Oh, it does it on several channels - TCM and MeTV; maybe a couple of other ones.
Tonight we were watching a movie on STARZ and the sound kept cutting out. When it came back on it was in slow mo for a few seconds. Is that expected with streaming?

They sent us a new little black box (the one that sits by the TV) and now another tech is coming out tomorrow because the mgr at ATT Customer Support just told us tonight that we have a bad box (white big box) in the closet in our laundry room. I have no idea what these boxes are called. The one in laundry room closet is hooked up to those blue wires that come in from outside of the house and the little black box just plugs in by TV. We are old so we have no clue what's going on. LOL We had Spectrum before.
Oh, and our internet speed is supposed to be 500+. When we did the test today the download speed was 84.9 and upload speed 31.7!!! That's when CS decided we need a new box in closet.
