Guide Sort and Captioning using Gemini randomly changes
I have stream and gemini.
I have Guide Sorting set to by number. It randomly changes to alphanumeric.
I have Captioning turned On. It randomly turns off.
Both settings appear to change concurrently. Is there any way of locking the settings in? I'm getting tired of this.

Do you have more than one device on the same profile? B/c of people on another tv/device change those settings--it will change for all devices.

I have a Gemini on one TV and an Osprey on another TV. But, I know for a fact that no one changes the Captioning or the Guide Sort on the Osprey TV. The person who uses that TV the most has no clue how to change the settings. Unless pressing some random button on the remote can change settings... I have explored that possibility and don't see a way to do it.

I have some more data to add. Like I said, I have a Gemini on one TV and an Osprey on another. However, if I watch a Directv channel using a browser on my computer, the Guide Sort is ALWAYS Alpha. Then, when I go back and watch a channel via Gemini on the TV the Guide Sort is changed to Alpha and Captioning is turned off. So, the act of using a browser is what is causing the Guide Sort and Captioning to change on the Gemini. There doesn't seem to be a way to lock the preferences to a device.

Mohammad, I want captions ON. They keep getting turned OFF even though no one on this end has edited the Preferences.

We're aware of the issue. While we currently do not have a specific timeline for a fix, we recommend setting your preferences on the web and avoiding changing them. I have set the preferences on the web. Captions and Guide Sort still change at random points on Gemini or when I return to the web. Not consistently and repeatable.

On the web, there is no Preference setting for Captions (that I can find). Just for Sort (and it's not in Preferences. It's at the top when Guide is selected.).

I found something that was repeatable. I logged in via Chrome on a Macbook and changed Sort from Alpha to Chan#. I logged out. Then I logged in again. The Sort was changed back to Alpha even though I had just changed it Chan#. Are you aware there's no option to Save Preferences or Settings when using a browser?

My Captions settings still randomly turn from ON to OFF. I haven't noticed the Guide Sort changing from Numerical to Alpha lately. It doesn't matter that I set the Captions preference on the web; without any influence by me or anyone else in my household, one day the Captions will be turned from ON to OFF.

My previous post was in error. There is no Captions preference setting available when accessing Directv Stream on the web. Captions does randomly toggle from ON to OFF.
