Gemini air procedures
I’ve been a satellite customer since 1997. Grewcwith old 8 bit service, multi port connections , start of TiVo tpreceivers etc, am moving soon and am evaluating Gemini air and planning on changing from sat tomintrrnet access. My HOA initially rejected my request to put up a dish but I threatened to sue them abnd sent them an fcc rule saying they can’t disapprove it. But despite that I’m in a 14 day migration to stream access . I opted to go with genie air for one reason - THE REMOTE CONTROL. There is no comparison to using stream via say Roku app since if you’re on channel 355 you have to scroll all the way to local channels. Got my new air device today and in 30 minutes know it’s the way I’m going, it’s GREAT!! But I have a few things to learn and am asking for help here on 2 issues.
1. On sat remote I love the double play feature and while the air remote has a prev button which gets you close but isn’t really tge same - if you go back and forth the previous channel doesn’t show earlier programming - even if you’re recording. Am I missing something here.
2. Say I want to record the ncis series on local cbs on Monday nights. But when I put the record series it records EVERY showing on ANY station. Is there a way tell the system to just record the series on the channel,I want. This happens on any show that is also shown on other stations particularly showing older episodes.
but I’m thrilled at having to get rid of the genie device and coax cables.

Unfortunately, the double-play feature is not an option for Directv Streaming customers. I wish they had it I miss that feature from when I was a Sat. customer myself. The only recording options are to record new episodes or all episodes this option is set when setting a new series recording to record. If you did not choose this option when setting your new series to record then all episodes were selected. The only way to fix this is to cancel the recording and set it to record again, making sure to select new episodes only! I hope this helps!

Tigers-thanks x yes I loved the double play feature. Be nice if directv could recreate that for streaming. I suspect it’s harder than you’d think. I’ll fix my recording options item
