Fox
Agreed that direct TV isn't doing anything to solve the dispute given that it has been over a year. The raise the prices and give less. It is a two way street but when one side digs their heels in and stops negotiating that is a problem. When you call they say they are trying.... They are not? When you are a snowbird and they tell you to use an antenna for local stations I just laugh... Yeah right exactly why I stream is so I can see North East stations when I am down south!!! Done with these jokers

Hi, @spcraig224. DIRECTV and the broadcasting company didn't reach an agreement. If FOX has been removed from your guide, stream certain programming using the stations websites or mobile apps. We welcome any future talks with the station owners to potentially bring them back. Roland, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Over a year than I suspect they are owned by Mission or an associate of them.
It is a two-way street. And "trying" doesn't mean they are guaranteed to get the channel back within a set time. Negotiations remain open until they are resolved (if ever).
Network owners demanding more money each time the carriage agreement is renewed is exactly what drives up costs. If DirecTV (or any other TV provider for that matter) just caves to the demands, then our bills go up even more.
Remember that you are not owed Fox or any other specific channel. What is available can change at any time since they don't own the channels.
And as a note since you are a snowbird, you can only get locals when you are physically within the spot beam for your service address as they are not allowed to be broadcast outside your Designated Market Area (DMA) per regulations as lobbied by the local affiliate owners. So yes, North East locals are not permitted to be broadcast by satellite in the south.
