Fire Stick and Direct TV stream app

I have just downloaded the directv stream app and can not view any programs on the app. I keep getting a message stating Not available to stream on this device. This channel is only available to watch at home using the Directv box. I just signed up for Directv stream service and Im not understanding this issue. Any help would be appreciated

Are you a previous DirecTV Satellite customer? Using the same credentials?

Are you using the same credentials as the old satellite? The service seems to think that you are trying to use a DirecTV box. It gets confused with the credentials the same for both services.

Need to use another. Known issue with the services. Just login to your account and change the email to another one. Delete the app, then reinstall.

Yelp. It's the code in the app. Both services use the same app. When the satellite service added support for Roku, fire sticks, etc. is when the issue started. They just want fix it!
