Entertainment package and sports pack
I was looking for some information on getting the local RSN in the sports pack. I came upon the following page:
https://www.directv.com/insider/sports-pack/
When you scroll down to “what channels are included in DIRECTV sports pack,” there is this paragraph:
“Not to mention, those with the ENTERTAINMENT package will also get their regional sports network to watch their local teams play live. For all other DIRECTV customers, you not only get access to your own RSN, but also 30+ out-of-market RSNs, giving you access to even more live sports all the time.“
That pretty clearly indicates that people with the Entertainment package can get their local RSN in the sports pack, and the higher packages will also get the RSNs from around the country.
After thinking it over, I figured I would drop down from Choice to Entertainment. But when I attempted to do that, I got a warning that I would lose my local RSN, even if it was part of an add-on.
I phoned DIRECTV, and the CSR said that the webpage is wrong and he would tell somebody about the error. As of this writing, the page remains the same.
My admittedly long-winded question is, has anyone with the Entertainment package managed to get the local RSN as part of the sports pack?

Choice and above includes your local RSNs, but with RSN fee.
Sports Pack includes over 35 Regional and Specialty sport networks. Does not get you out of market games, those are still blacked out.
Below Choice you can add the Sports Pack as includes your local RSNs and without the added RSN fee. So Entertainment and Sports Pack is cheaper if you just want your in-market RSNs instead raising to Choice.
There has been the rare exception, at least in the satellite service, where an RSN has an additional requirement (such as a higher package). To check, what is your zip code and is any RSN in particular your concern?

Juniper , I posted a reply to your comment, and then it disappeared. At least, I can’t see it. If it doesn’t come back up, I will reply again. Thanks.

I got notified about two replies, but I only see the one as well. I assume something about it tripped the auto filter of the forum.

I can’t conceive of what that would be. I will try again.
In case I wasn’t supposed to give my ZIP Code, I will simply point out that the regional sports networks I get in this market are FanDuel North, FanDuel Wisconsin, and
Twins TV.
I know about most pro sports being blacked out on the RSNs outside of this market. I enjoy some programs on NESN, but not enough to justify paying the big difference between Entertainment and Choice if I could drop down to entertainment and still get my local RSNs as part of the sports pack. I wouldn’t be losing very many other channels I care about, and most of those I get on Frndly.
I’m frustrated by the conflicting information between what’s on the website and the CSR telling me that it’s wrong. So I’m hoping that somebody here has the Entertainment package and sports pack, and that their local RSN is part of it.

Looks like DirecTV has been updating their info by adding in "MySports" a standalone option without a full TV service. That plus the ownership change seems to be causing a lot of confusion on what is and is not available for RSNs.
As far as I can tell, the Sports Pack should still provide RSNs in Entertainment as it has for years. But I would like to get confirmation from a subscriber with that setup that it hasn't changed.

I’ve just had another comment disappear, and I’d really like somebody to explain what was wrong with the two comments that were removed.
