Tried to set up recording on a new roku tv and a new firestick. Trying to record NCAA championship on ESPN tonight. Also have same error when I tried to record the avalanche game that is on right now. I have a five day trial to figure this out.

What device are you using? I was able to set the game to record with no issues. Have you restarted your device and tried again?

Thanks for responding. Roku Tv and Amazon stick. I just loaded the DTV app on both when I signed up for stream.

Have you restarted the devices? Can you set recordings for any other events or channels? 

I just reset the stick. No change. I tried to record a few others but get the same error.

I am also unable to record through their watch now web page.

No idea. Looks like it's time to contact support.

I contacted DTV support and they asked me to try several things but nothing worked. I was in a long line for a tech to help so the DTV lady noted all of the info and said they would get back with me. She also mentioned some sort of outage. The next day my dvr is working okay. 

My recording of the game was successful. I doubt if it was an outage since no one else has reported a problem.
