Down Button does "something" now

The down button now pulls up the same interface that the back button was utilized for. You either have to go all the way up to the guide button or go all the way to the left to get the ribbon with the guide, library, search etc. I believe that if soooo many people are willing to make an account on here, just to express their loathe for the new update, I hope that DirectTV is reading our comments.
