Do you use this remote to control this TV
Just about everytime I turn on the stream box using the DirecTV remote, the subject line message comes up. I cannot get it to stop coming up
I have a Harmony remote programmed to the stream box, TV, and receiver. It turns them all on and sets up the correct inputs. I use the DirecTV remote to change channels and browse the guide.

I use a Harmony 665, to control my Stream box, TV, and Sound bar, and don't have any message that stays on the screen.
I see you say that you use your Stream box remote to change channels, I can change mine with the Harmony remote.
If you start everything with their individual remotes, do you still get the message?

The DirecTV remote is turning on the receiver, TV, and stream box. I didn't program that remote to turn everything on, it's happening on its own.
I had been answering no to the message, but that doesn't stop the message from coming up. I then answered yes the next time I saw the message. The remote paired with the TV. The next time I used the DirecTV remote to turn everything on, the message came back.
Really getting annoyed by this. There has got to be a way to stop this message from coming up every single time.

Does your Harmony remote also allow you to change channels and browse the guide? If so, is there a reason you aren’t using it exclusively? (It won’t provide voice control, but as far as I know everything else should be available from a correctly programmed Harmony).

I guess I'll have to use the Harmony remote, but then in situations where the Harmony remote has to be charged, then the original issue is still a problem.

It happens to me as well, but I use only the Direct TV remote. I can not get any other remote to control Direct TV. Very open to suggestions as this is quite annoying!

What DirecTV device do you have? If you have a Gemini (Osprey) “box”, then any remote that supports DirecTV codes (for the satellite set top boxes) should work, since that device supports IR remotes. If you have the Gemini Air (the dongle device) then you are out of luck - it only supports Bluetooth remotes, using DirecTV’s (apparently proprietary) profile (meaning you’re limited to their remote).

Yes - please HELP! I am using the DirecTV stream app on AppleTV, and using the Logitech Harmony remote. When I press the FF or REW buttons, it actually changes channels. REW brings me to the previous channel in the guide, and FF brings me to the next channel in the guide. I tried to remap 2 of the color keys to rewind and fast forward, but that still does the same thing... HELP!!!!
