Display of information on DVR recordings is incomplete

Sometimes I want to know what channel number and the date/time that a recording was made.  Currently, only the name or call letters of the station are displayed and the date is just today or some other day, not the time and date.  When I was a Cox customer, I could easily see that information.  I know that information is available in the dataset you use to make the recording, so why not let us see it?
Also, information about currently scheduled recordings is available, but no history of previous recordings.  Is there a way to see what programs are selected for recording by viewing a textual list of some kind?   If I don't remember if I had programmed a show to record, I have to list the programs that are recorded and scroll through them all to see if it's there.  If it is scheduled but there is no previous recording, I would then have to check the scheduled recordings to see if it's programmed.  Even a textual list that was only shown on the DirecTV phone app would be a big improvement.
