DirecTV Stream-DVR recording and playback from multiple locations
We are thinking of getting DirecTV Stream and I have a question about DVR recording with DirecTV Stream. We are only interested in watching programs on TV...not on smartphone, laptop, etc. We will likely have a ROKU device for each TV. We live in Houston which will be our home location and billing location. We also rent an apartment in California where we spend several months per year. Here are some specific questions but, in the end, what I am fishing for is whether or not we can record programs in both Houston and California and then later watch any of those recorded programs in either Houston or California.
If we record a program in Houston, can we later watch that recorded program in California as well as watching that recorded program in Houston?
If our home location is Houston, will we be able to record programs while in California? If yes, I assume the programs we could record in California would be based on the channel lineup in California?
If we can record programs in California, can we record a program in California and later watch that recorded program in Houston as well as watching that recorded program in California?
Again, my hope is that we will be able to record anything we can watch while physically located in either Houston or California (based on the channel lineup in whichever location we are in at that time), and then playback any of those recorded programs in either Houston or California.
If the response is "just call DirecTV Stream and ask them", well, I did that and have received multiple conflicting answers depending on which representative I have asked.
Hopefully all this makes sense. :)

1. Yes, recordings that were originally scheduled in one location can be watched elsewhere. This is the glory of cloud DVR. Wherever you have a WiFi connection, you can access your recordings on the directv stream app.
2. Yes, recordings in Houston will work in California. As far as channels, you will get local channels for California in California (and local channels for Houston in Houston) if your streaming device has location services. Otherwise, local channels will default to the billing address of your credit card (in this case, the home address).
3. Yes, wherever you schedule a recording, it can be watched anywhere else.

Thanks detuch254. Just one follow up to make it abundantly clear in my feeble mind. So even though my home location and billing address is in Houston, I will be able to record programs while in California and then later watch those programs in California or Houston, correct? Thanks again.

One additional follow up not covered above. Let's say we are in California and we suddenly realize we forgot to set up a program to record for a sporting event that airs only on a local channel in Houston. At that point, is there any way to have the sporting event get recorded?
A variant to the above. Let's say we are in Houston (let's say on June 3) and set up to record a sporting event which will air on a local Houston channel 7 days in the future (Let's say June 10). We then leave Houston in 2 days (June 5) to go to California. Will that program record 5 days later (June 10) and then be viewable in California after June 10?

The only exception may be with local channels and regional sports, which are location restricted.
