DirecTV Stream/Chromecast/Bluetooth Speakers

Anyone else have problems with DirecTV Stream on Chromecast with Google TV when connected to Bluetooth speakers? Mine works fine without the bluetooth speakers, but as soon as it connects to bluetooth speakers (speaker or headphones), the DirecTV Stream app freaks out and will go into a channel loading loop without every loading the channel for more than a second.  Disconnect the bluetooth device, it works fine.

DirecTV Stream is the only app I have that behaves this way.

Hi u/titan1701. We're sorry for any inconvenience. Some bluetooth speakers may not be compatible with the app. You may visit https://www.directv.com/support/article/000093281 for a quick fix. I don't think the "some" bluetooth speakers is accurate.  It is all bluetooth speakers.  None of the 8 I have tried have worked.  And only DirecTV Stream.  All other apps work fine.

The article linked is just this same post?  Was there another?

I change the sound setting on the google chrome cast to never  use surround sound and that solved the problem with my Bose headphones connected blue tooth to the device.

Settings -> Display & Sound -> advanced sound settings ->None: Never use surround sound

DirectTV please update the app to allow bluetooth speakers to connect again. It used to work and stopped earlier this year. I've done the resets, replaced my speaker and the DirectTV stream box and it still doesn't work. This was such an awesome feature and the main reason I liked the switch from Xfinity. Please fix before the NFL season ends. 😟
