I’ve never heard that type of request before. DIRECTV STREAM doesn’t have that feature because most other streaming services don’t. Heck, even cable TV and satellite TV providers don’t have it. Therefore, there is no reason for DIRECTV STREAM to integrate it.
None of those are streaming services they are either Cable or Satellite providers so why are you trying to compare them to streaming when streaming is a cheaper alternative to Cable/Satellite Services and does not provide the exact same type of services? If you are so unhappy that you do not have this functionality then go back to your old provider.
For the record, I’m the one who asked the original question. Tiger, please re-read my posts and then tell me if I ever said that I was “unhappy”. I’ll wait for your response. All I did was to inquire as to whether DIRECTV Stream had the function. But since you bring up satellite/cable vs streaming, as I am paying well over $100 per month for DIRECTV Stream, I just thought that maybe they had similar functionality. As I have learned from this enlightening exchange, not so much. Again, I’m pretty certain that I never used the word “unhappy” in my comments. If I’m wrong, no doubt Tiger will straighten me out.
Thanks detuch. All I did was ask a basic question and then you and Tiger got your panties in a wad. Please re-read and tell me where I indicated I wanted to dump DIRECTV Stream because they don’t have slo-mo capabilities. I’ll wait for your reply. Oh, and BTW, cable/satellite providers do have that function. Facts. Wonderful things. Have a nice night.
Tivo's have a slow motion button on the remote. I used one with Mediacom cable. And back in the day Directv Satellite had an all on one Tivo with slow motion on the remote.
To make myself clear I never told anyone to cancel their service. I said that none of the services that were brought up were streaming services and that they were all Cable/Satellite providers and I also said that there were no "streaming services" to my knowledge that have the slow motion feature. I also said, "IF you are so unhappy that you do not have this functionality then go back to your old provider." And to reiterate I said "IF YOU WERE UNHAPPY" I never said you were unhappy. And the reason I said to go back to your old provider is that they have that function, and yes from your post I took what you said to be that you were unhappy with the fact that you do not have this function as that is how it comes across to me. I say this because nowhere in the original post does it ask if Directv Stream has the capability of slow motion instead this is what is said: "Why does Directv Stream NOT have a capability for slow motion?" And to answer that specific question no one here can answer that specific question because we are not Directv Stream Employees we are all customers just like you and we do not know why they choose not to provide this feature.
Just moved from Spectrum in Los Angeles to DirecTV streaming in Las Vegas. Wanted the dodgers package. Spectrum who took over the old Time Warner equipment, which I still had, has slow motion capability. It's great for sporting events and like some have said, should be available on this upscale streaming service.

I don't know of any streaming service that does have it. But for me, it is no big deal.

I recently switched from Dish network to DIRECTV Stream. Dish’s dvr allowed users to pause, go back or forward in slow motion.
