DIRECTV stream is not working on 3 of my Fire Stick devices. Please help.

30001-008 error.  I have called tech support to no avail.  I've cleared the cache, deleted/re-installed and even reset the Fire Stick to factory defaults and setup from scratch.  None of these actions work.  I am frustrated to the point of considering a different streaming carrier since the DirecTV app is only supported by a few number of devices and I don't want to buy new ones for every TV in the house (which might not even do the trick).  Please provide a solution.

I would also recommend rebooting your Internet modem and router.

It’s a bit unclear from your post - does this happen on all your devices, or do you have more than 3 FireSticks and it only happens on 3 of them?

Other questions:

Is this a new problem, or has the service never worked on these devices?

Do you have this problem on other devices (like a mobile device)?

Are you getting the message on all content or only some?

This happens on 3 of my 6 firestick devices.  On 2 of them, the app previously worked.   The 3rd is a new one that I purchased since the other ones were older 2nd Gen firesticks, thinking maybe it was a software compatibility issue.  It has never worked on the new one.  I've tried the iOS app and it works fine there.

Are you at your registered billing location? Sounds like you are away from your home location, when you are allowed only 3 devices to be used at a time.

Technically, what they consider "home" has nothing to do with billing address, though they are usually the same.  They set your "home" as the network you are on when you log into the service for the first time using a "TV" streamer (Osprey, Roku, FireTV, or AppleTV).  Billing address is used for choosing locals.  They have no real way to know if the 2 locations are the same or not.

But from the description, that doesn't seem to be the problem.  Apparently 3 FireSticks work, and away from the home network, only 2 TV streamers work - the 3rd device needs to be a mobile device.

Also, 30001-008 means a attempt to watch an unsubscribed channel, not too many streams.  There are a bunch of error codes that apparently meant that, including 30001-018. @onetonryan - are you sure you reported the error code correctly?  (Other error codes for "too many streams" are 10014-001, 20001-020, 30002-019, and 30003-020.  I have no idea why they have so many that don't seem to have distinctions.)

I'm definitely at home, the same location as my billing address, and that hasn't changed as long as I've had service.

30001-008 is also the only error code I'm getting.  To further describe the issue, I can log in and access the guide.  Every channel is visible in the guide, even the ones I'm not subscribed to, and ones that are not visible on the devices that are working properly.  However, regardless of what channel I select, even if it's NBC (or anything that I should be able to access) it gives me the 30001-008 error.  When I go to settings, and look under 'Account', it shows my recognized user ID, but under 'Package' it is just blank, or sometimes even says "Null".  Whereas on my working devices, it shows the channel package that I am subscribed to.

I've been working with tech support on this, and it has been escalated.  The latest update is that they may need up to 72 business hours to figure out the fix.  So I'm just waiting.  I had hoped that someone on this forum had already experienced this issue and had the solution.  If I ever get one, I'll definitely share it here.

I just started a Directv subsription this month, seven months after your post. They obviously havent' fixed this issue, as I have a dead user's guide on my Firestick's Directv Stream App.  I can see the guide channels as well, but they won't open.  And my package info doesn't show up under my user name either.  Since I can't use the Firestick remote, I've had to rent tv boxes from Directv -- which I wonder wasn't their aim in providing a non-functioning Firestick App?

But if this issue was resolved for you in the last 7 months, please let me know what the fix was -- as I'd like to return the tv boxes and use the firestick at some point.

Sadly the issue was never resolved and I canceled my Directv.  To their credit, Directv was active in trying to fix it but I kept getting contacted by different techs who would ask me to perform the exact same troubleshooting steps that didn’t work the time before.  Hope you have better luck than I did.

I actually DID get this problem resolved today.  Turns out that since I ordered AT&T fiber package with the Directv account, I was unintentionally using the same password for both.  So that every time I logged into directv.com website, it would ask me which account AT&T or Directv I wanted to open.  And AT&T was listed first.  But a Directv rep told me to change the Directv password to something else.  Once I did that, I only saw the Directv account option when logging in.  But BETER YET, once I logged into the Firestick app with the new password, the guide started working (open the show v. just showing the series information).  Don't know if that was your issue, but it fixed issue for me and I can now return the Directv boxes I'd installed as a workaround.

Yes, I did have to set up with a different login but used my standard password and that blew it up.

Glad to hear a solution has been found!  I already bailed but I’d consider coming back.  Not loving Fubo overall.
