DirecTV Stream DVR Recordings ending before show is over.

My DVR recordings of certain programs are ending before the program is over, so I don't get to see the entire show.  Unlike other DVR services, DirecTV Stream doesn't provide an option to extend the recording 5-15 minutes past the scheduled ending so I have no way to correct this issue myself.

But for sporting events the DVR will auto-extend the recording when the game runs long past the scheduled end time, so why isn't this option available for all DVR programs?  Seems short-sighted not to provide an option to extend records for a series to ensure you get the entire show.  Are there any options I'm overlooking that would prevent this from happening in the future?

Are those recordings (ending before the program is over) happening after a sporting event? If yes, I think that's a known thing. They extend the sporting event but won't extend the booking for the program after that.

The only workaround is to record the show that's on after your desired show.
