DIRECTV auto enrolling me in streaming services without my consent

Have you experience being enrolled in a streaming program without your consent? I think this may have happened to me. I question whether this is a possibility: if I set my DVR to record a channel to which I am not subscribed Is it auto enrolling me to the channel so that it can record. This sounds like a programming error. Not sure if anyone else has experience this or not.

Hi, @PaulaD1. That's a good question. We'd like to look into this. Can you share what channel you set your DVR to record that resulted to auto enrollment in our streaming service?

Do you have DirecTV (satellite) or DirecTV via Internet / DIRECTV STREAM (streaming-only service)? What device are you doing this on (model number)?

In either case, recording a channel does not subscribe you to it. Unless you are accepting other prompts about changing your service than you just get an error message when you try to watch the recording as you are not subscribed to the content.
