DirectTV streaming service in RV with hot spot

Gang, I will be receiving my new Fleetwood Frontier 36 SS in a few weeks, and I am wodering if I need and in motion satellite?  If I can stream from the hot spot I intend to have in the unit, will that work?  Or do I need the in motion satellite?

Hi, @charlesbennett. There is no need for you to have a motion satellite if you have DIRECTV STREAM service. That is only applicable if the service you have is for DIRECTV via Satellite on an RV setup. We just need to make sure that you have a fast internet connection for a smoother experience.

You can stream just fine if your hotspot has reasonably fast download speed. You'll want at least 20Mbps download speed, We have a Roku Streambar and use Starlink for our internet when traveling in our RV.

I travel full time using the service with free WiFi sites and cellular using hot spots. I use Roku and Fire Sticks. Basically no issue as long as you receive decent bandwidth.
