Current recordings not in My Library

Similar to a post a couple of days ago, my new recordings are not showing up in My Library. I see that the show (series) is recording but it does not show up either during or after the recording is complete. It also shows that it is a scheduled future recording but does not get into the Library.

I have done that but I run into the same issues when going to My Library on the Directv main box, remote boxes, the Samsung Directv app, Apple Directv app, iPhone app, iPad app.

Yes. For over 2 years and this past week, it stopped. I record the Nightly National News every day yet the last recording listed is Tuesday.

Yes, some other series that I tape are also showing as recording but you come back later, the most recent show is not listed.

Try going on to www.Directv.com through a web browser and see if you get the same problems.  If you are still seeing the same issues then contact Directv Customer Service to see if they can get your DVR function working again.

I figured the issue out although I spent nearly 40 minutes on the phone with Tech Support to no avail. They ended up telling me it was the dispute between NextStar and Directv. However, that did not make sense since I could watch the TV shows real time but could not record them. Not sure how that would be right. 

While I was online with Tech Support, I was scrolling thru my DVR recordings. As I got to the bottom of one of the series recordings, I saw that they were not completely in chronological order like normally. Instead of the newest recordings at the very top of the listings, several of the newest recordings were now at the very bottom of the listing. As I checked the remainder of the series recordings, that same pattern continued. Why? I have no idea but after my earlier experience on Tech Support, I decided to end my pursuit and will just live with it. Now, I at least know where to look.

Known issue with NBC programs. They reported it on Reddit as well. This seems like metadata issue with some series. I think this looks better now. Check again.

We had a similar problem. The husband was missing his Price is Right. The problem was the 10-year main receiver box. The new replacement receiver box was installed two days ago, and the issue has been resolved.

Omg, thank you so much for figuring this out. I’ve been SO FRUSTRATED by this issue!! You’re right. The recordings are all out of order and we have to go searching for the latest one at the bottom of the recordings list when they used to appear conveniently at the top. C’mon, DIRECTV. I’ve missed so many newscasts over the past two weeks because of this problem. I almost dropped DirecTV over it to switch to YouTubeTV Stream. In this last ditch effort for a solution, I found your post.

DirecTV should give you a commission for them keeping my business because it sure wasn’t their own support staff who helped to find my recordings.
