Can't watch recording of a sports game that's in progress

Tried to watch a recorded hockey game that was currently between the 1st and 2nd period. No matter what I do I can only watch the live game in progress. Can start from the beginning. There was a popup that said "we can take you to where this event's now showing". There is only a button that says "Take Me There". And something about taking me to a channel if there are restrictions. It's not very clear what's going on.

So is it recording? Why can I watch it but not record it? Super confused about what is happening.
