Hey Brian. We're more than happy to help you resolve all your doubts. The Extended Sports Recording is available under certain conditions. This depends on the event and the device you are using to record. For more information, you can review the following link: https://www.directv.com/support/stream/article/KM1489147. We want to know what kind of device you would like to have this feature to see if it's compatible.

Some sports broadcasts will automatically extend recording if needed. But it's not 100% reliable. There's no manual way to extend recording time, other than simply recording the following show.

I have Directv Streaming and use Roku to control my streaming.  I am interested to know if the extended recording work with this combination.  In addition, I watch the Chicago Cubs or the Marquee network and would like to know if this is included in the automatic extending of recording?

Nobody seems to know which sports broadcasts will automatically extend. Until this feature is 100% perfect it's best to always setup a recording for the show following the desired sports broadcast.

I have St Louis Cardinals on team recording. Every game auto extended if it needed to. No issues with baseball games, for me.

Baseball games in Maryland do not auto extend enough. So I keep missing the 9th inning. Annoying that I cant just set it to record an extra 30-60 mins.
