"Blackout Auto Forwarding"
My Dtv Stream box updated it's software last night to 30.0.6.51 and there is an option in settings--preference to turn on/off "blackout auto forwarding" Anyone know what that is?

If I don't know what it is---how can I test it? I already turned it off then back on --didn't make a difference with anything

directv satellite has a feature that will search for a different channel if you are trying to record a sports game that is blacked out. I don't know if stream has the same feature.

I asked their twitter support--even sent a screenshot after they asked for a picture. That was yesterday afternoon and they never got back to me lol
If Dtv satellite has that feature --that's probably what it is.

That is weird I have a few DTV stream boxes and the most recent update that I have received was on 7/15 and that was on only one of my boxes. That feature does not even show up on the one that has the most recent update so that is very puzzling.

@Tiger593 They roll out updates. They dont give them to everyone at the same time. I got my Monday night. Version 30.0.6.51 The previous version was something like 29.2.121.21 and no it wasn't on that version.

That person was a spammer. All of the links in that post pointed to a spam site, not DirecTV.

It’s a feature to forward you to another sports game if the current channel is blacked out.
My tv randomly blacks out for a second and returns to the program. I hope this is what’s causing it.
