Apple TV App Issue

Several months ago, the DirecTV streaming app stopped working. I log in, and get to a screen that offers two choices in large boxes:

DirecTV Stream and DirecTV

The app allows me to switch between the two choices, but when I select either, nothing happens.  My son lives in another state and has a separate account and is having the same issue.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and have restated my Apple TV several times as well. 

I have Samsung TVs and the app works fine in those TVs.

I am using tvOS 17.2

Were you a prior DIRECTV SATELLITE customer? When signing up for directv stream, did you use the same email address that you used for directv satellite services?

Otherwise, what are the models of those Apple TVs? Have you ensured that they are up-to-date on software, along with the app being fully updated?
