4K stream buffering using Direct TV Stream Box (Gemini supplied with service) with ETHERNET hooked up 1GB
The new 4K channels that appeared a few months ago provide excitement to watch the World Series, College Football and other shows. Unfortunately I see periodic buffering that destroys the experience. I am using the Direct TV Stream supplied gemini box that is hardwired via Ethernet to a switch. a laptop hooked up to the switch gets almost 1GB speeds up and download. The Gemini box HDMI cable is hooked up to a Yamaha Receiver that is hooked up to the TV.
The buffering occurs periodically - not all the time - and wondering if there is a problem with the box, problem with the setup or problem with the service. IT IS NOT THE INTERNET CONNECTION, as it's hardwired and receiving almost 1GB speed. Other 4K services work fine, but of course they are single app not multiple streaming.
Other TV's don't have the same problem - have a smaller 50" TV that displays the 4K fine. TV is a Sony 85" X950H.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you feed to your Yamaha, than the TV. As a test try bypassing the Yamaha, and go directly to the TV and see if it goes away.

It's not the Yamaha - happens directly to the TV also.

Is there any way you could hook it up to a neighbors internet so we could tell if it’s the DTV Stream box or not ?

It also happens intermittently. I was hoping that others had similar issues, if it's part of the "service" that sometimes it's buffery, or not. It doesn't happen on all 4K streams. Today I watched "North" - for about 5 minutes and it didn't buffer once....
