4K channels not showing up on guide
I have a Samsung 4K Tv. The 4K channels do not show up on the guide. I also have a Roku 4K tv and the 4K channels show up on the guide. Why aren’t the channels showing up on the Samsung?? I have tried all the basic stuff like deleting the app and restarting. I believe its channels 104-110. I’m using Direc TV stream. This is so frustrating. Please help.

Are you using the native app included with your Smart TV or an external streaming device with the app?

The 4K channels are not on the Samsung app yet. The Samsung TV app still has not updated to the new Home Screen also.

You might want to invest in a Fire Stick or Roku. Many of of us have done so, after getting fed up with Samsung's buggy and outdated apps.

I would not count on any improvement in the near future if any. The app has been inferior since they introduced the app years ago with limited improvement.

There have been issues with the Samsung apps for as long as I can remember. No one here would have any idea if or when the issues will be resolved.
Over the years I have noticed that many of the built in Smart TV apps, on most TVs, don't perform half as good as the stand alone streaming devices do.

I tried installing a 4k Roku to my tv. The channels show up on the guide. Now when I click on a channel is says that 4K is not supported on this device. YouTube Tv was so much easier with no issues. I think I’m done with Direc Tv now.

What that means is something on your Roku or TV is not capable of, or not set to 4K. When I move my Roku from my 4K TV to my 1080p monitor I get that message. Make sure your TV is 4K capable and set to it, on your display settings. Also make sure your Roku Display type is set to auto.

My Roku model is the express 360. It might not support 4K. My Samsung is aq60c which definitely supports 4K. I’m assuming it’s something with the Samsung Direc TV app.

@Nategotti76 Do you have HDR enabled on your Samsung? I used to have a Samsung and had to go into settings and enable it. It's called "input signal plus" Under device manager

There is nothing in settings on my Samsung Q60 that says enable HDR or input signal plus.

@Nategotti76 Using your TV's remote, navigate to and select Settings. 2 Select Picture, and then select Special Viewing Mode. 3 Select HDR+ Mode, and then select On.

I assure you 100% there is No Special Viewing Mode on the picture settings. I’m using the q60 model. You are incorrect.

I have a 4K Sony TV with a Fire Stick 4K and I don't see any 4K channels anymore either. Did a few days ago, before the Super Bowl and then it all seemed to break. :/
