Your payment did not go through but it did!

So for 3 days I chatted numerous times and called once. My directv stream account says payment did not go through. Yet it is on my bank statement. I called my bank they verified it. They emailed my june statement and what do you know 6/01 directv and 6/30 directv. Both June charges are there and cleared. Yet no one I talk to can find this 6/30 payment I keep getting told it could take 24hrs. Well it's been 3 days and you still can't find out. I asked if it could have went to someone else's account by accident I get told impossible. The transaction ID is on my bank statement they should be able to find it but no they can't. So now I lose a service I paid for because of your system and I can't afford to pay it again right now when it's been paid.

Unfortunately, there’s no “you” here. The forums are comprised of customers - it’s not Support or Customer Service - so we can’t help with billing issues.  If you can’t get any help by calling the Support number (855.550.1412), then insist on escalating the issue. If you have problems with that, people have had success with filing a BBB complaint - those get seen and responded to at a higher level, but are probably slower to get attention.

@Juniper  - DirecTV Stream only allows direct payment (they charge against a credit card or equivalent that they have on file). So no chance of a missing check, etc.  If the bank shows a payment, DTV must have issued a (successful) charge to that payment method.  So if they deny “getting” a payment, it must be a screw up in their accounting system.

They didn’t used to allow debit cards, just credit.  But according to the on-line info they now allow both, which I’m sure would include debit cards that also carry a Visa or MC logo. Those can’t be used as “true” credit cards, but they can be used at (most?) places that take those credit cards but not logo-less debit cards. Even then they still directly debit the backing account.

Hello Moore family.  I sympathize with you.  I am trying to get this same issue fixed.  Directv received 2 payments from me in June 2023 & they say they can’t find one of them.  Frustrated beyond belief .  I’ve talked to them numerous times.  The one they cannot find was a check that was sent & cleared my bank.  Cashed by

@Zoeylap Directv Stream doesn't take check by mail---just auto charge from credit/debit cards.

Juniper:  thanks for your comment. I mailed a check to Directv to the address on my bill from them.  It goes to a P.O. Box in Illinois.

@Zoeylap Directv Stream doesn't send you a bill. That's Dtv Satellite. Wrong forum.
