Your payment did not go through but it did!
So for 3 days I chatted numerous times and called once. My directv stream account says payment did not go through. Yet it is on my bank statement. I called my bank they verified it. They emailed my june statement and what do you know 6/01 directv and 6/30 directv. Both June charges are there and cleared. Yet no one I talk to can find this 6/30 payment I keep getting told it could take 24hrs. Well it's been 3 days and you still can't find out. I asked if it could have went to someone else's account by accident I get told impossible. The transaction ID is on my bank statement they should be able to find it but no they can't. So now I lose a service I paid for because of your system and I can't afford to pay it again right now when it's been paid.

Unfortunately, there’s no “you” here. The forums are comprised of customers - it’s not Support or Customer Service - so we can’t help with billing issues. If you can’t get any help by calling the Support number (855.550.1412), then insist on escalating the issue. If you have problems with that, people have had success with filing a BBB complaint - those get seen and responded to at a higher level, but are probably slower to get attention.

Not our system anymore than yours. This is a public forum, mostly other customers.
If they have a submitted payment that didn't successfully go through on their end, it may reverse back to the bank within a few business (so not weekend or holiday) days.
However if it was sent, not received or returned (so lost in the Ether or posted to wrong account), then you either resolve over the phone or submit a BBB complaint.
DirecTV (satellite) has had a webform for issues like these, but I don't know if it applies to DIRECTV STREAM now. Here it is just in case.

@Juniper - DirecTV Stream only allows direct payment (they charge against a credit card or equivalent that they have on file). So no chance of a missing check, etc. If the bank shows a payment, DTV must have issued a (successful) charge to that payment method. So if they deny “getting” a payment, it must be a screw up in their accounting system.

I understand the STREAM service only allows direct payment. Payment dispute is not just for check payments but also auto bill pay, missing, posted to wrong account, etc. and lists other payment methods.
Does it not allow a card that can be used as debit or credit? Regardless of financial institution, if it shows payment went through, then it should be researched by DIRECTV STREAM to see where it went on their end.

They didn’t used to allow debit cards, just credit. But according to the on-line info they now allow both, which I’m sure would include debit cards that also carry a Visa or MC logo. Those can’t be used as “true” credit cards, but they can be used at (most?) places that take those credit cards but not logo-less debit cards. Even then they still directly debit the backing account.

Hello Moore family. I sympathize with you. I am trying to get this same issue fixed. Directv received 2 payments from me in June 2023 & they say they can’t find one of them. Frustrated beyond belief . I’ve talked to them numerous times. The one they cannot find was a check that was sent & cleared my bank. Cashed by

Juniper: thanks for your comment. I mailed a check to Directv to the address on my bill from them. It goes to a P.O. Box in Illinois.

Since you got a bill, you have DirecTV the satellite service. This is the forum for DIRECTV STREAM which is a separate service that does not get bills nor accepts checks. That is why I asked you which one you had.
As you have DirecTV (satellite), the link I posted above would be how you get the payment issue researched. As the payment went through, did not post to your account, and has been at least 3 business days since it posted, it is possible it misapplied to the wrong account. So get the form submitted to resolve it as soon as possible.
Because of checks being entered, or reliability of the mail, this is why that payment method is discouraged these days. Paying online through your account, even if it is just a one-time payment (instead of auto pay) means it posts same day. That way you don't wait days/weeks to find there was an issue.
For future guidance on your service, make sure to post in the DirecTV forum (which this is not as is DIRECTV STREAM).
