Unlimited Cloud DVR

When I signed up for DirecTV Stream, it only came with 20 hrs of DVR, now it comes with Unlimited for the same price as I am paying. How do I "upgrade" to unlimited?

Depending on your account, you can log into your account and upgrade to unlimited for $10. The other option is to cancel, and sign up on-line again and get it free. They are also offering $10 off for 12 months if you get their box - basically giving it to you free. You need to use a new email for the sign up.

I don't know how the new email work around works when you already own some of the Directv stream boxes. I am wondering if they are tied to your name and account and would require new box purchases ?

Curious

If you purchase the boxes directly from DirecTV Stream, they are registered to your account, and you can manage them from your account. They are the only devices that will appear on your account.

In my case I purchased all three boxes from AT&T on the same day, during the time they were offering Unlimted DVR for free. Which we all know this story. At the time of purchase they were all set up and registered to my account. ( Worked Flawlessly).

If I was too open a new account under a new email can I move those boxes over to the new account with my new email account. Remember I am trying to be a Super sleuth and fool all of Directv with this move. Would those boxes stay with my old account or move to the new 007 fool Directv move.

No idea. That would be a question for DirecTV Stream. Now that AT&T and DirecTV are 2 different companies, I doubt if they would honor it.  The unlimited DVR is only available via on-line subscription. I assume you purchase your original boxes via a AT&T store, correct.
