Unable to login to Max app from Direct tv stream
Recently switched from Direct TV satellite service to Direct TV Stream. I have HBO/Max in my tv package but can no longer log into Max app on my devices. Help please.

What happens when you login through the MAX app? Are you logging in through TV provider and DIRECTV STREAM as the TV provider option?

Are you using the same credentials for DirecTV Stream as Satellite? You need to use different credentials for each service. Since they combined both apps into one, it confuses the app.

Well, did you have the same credentials? You did not respond to the question? You can log in to your DirecTV Stream account and change your email account. If you have linked accounts, you may have to contact support to unlink them in order to change the email. The easiest way is just to cancel the service and sign up again with a new email account.

Did you ever get this resolved? I just switched from Uverse to Directv Stream on Monday and it won’t let me in to Max or Showtime. It just says “incorrect user ID or login” even though all of the Directv apps are working fine with those credentials.

Can you watch Showtime from the guide? Have you logged into your account and verified you are subscribed to those premium channels?

If you’re asking me then yes I have. I also went in to my DIRECTV account and changed the user ID and email to one that is completely unlinked to my previous AT&T accounts and that didn’t help either. It definitely seems like it is confused about the multiple AT&T accounts but I tried to solve that to no avail

Both not working? When you authenticated, did it re-direct you to an AT&T website? You did select DirecTV Stream as the provider, correct?

Yes I’ve tried all of that and just spent an hour trying different things with direct tv service tech and he couldn’t figure this out either and he’s supposed to call me back

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times on Fire Sticks, Roku's Android phone, and tablet. All have authenticated and successful broadcast content. Sorry, at this point I have no idea. I wish you luck.
