Unable to connect DirecTV Stream Account w/ MAX App
I’m again having issues with connecting my MAX App with my DirecTV Stream account. Verified HBO and Max App access is still on my plan on the DirecTV App. No issues there.
Error from Max:
max
Can't Verify Subscription
It looks like you don't have access to Max through this provider.
If you think this is a mistake, please contact your provider directly. You can also try connecting through another provider.
Error when trying to connect to DirecTV Stream Account:

We may be having trouble with your connection.
Connecting your device to Wi-Fi could help fix the issue or try again later.
If you were using an app, close this page. Otherwise, start over.

Hi, @GRiveraSNJ. This is a known issue, and we're working on a fix with an estimated resolution time of 4-72 hours. Please continue to sign in during that timeframe. If the issue persists, reach back out to us for further investigation. DIRECTV appreciates your patience. 💙 Jonathan, DIRECTV Community Specialist

There is another thread on this with a solution others have used.

I have been on with support numerous times over this issue. It is now 2 weeks and all I get is they are working on it. So beyond fed up!

How do I get someone to help on this? I see DIRECTV replies to some that they will message them to help.

I'd also like help with this.
I talked to Max support.
The solution for DirecTV is very simple. You must unlink my current max account (a blank one you just created for me which has no attached email) from my DirecTV max subscription. This must be done on DirecTV's end. Once you do that and I no longer have a broken account without my watchlists or history attached to my subscription I can then attach my existing account on Max to my subscription via DirecTV by signing in via provider while logged in thus linking the two and getting my account back.
Right now if I try that process it informs me my subscription is being used for another account. And so it is. But that's not my account, it doesn't have my users, it doesn't have my watchlists, it's nothing but a broken thing pulled out of nowhere by this bug.

To be clear I have two accounts presently with Max:
Account1: My long-time account, created when I signed up for Directv Stream. This has my customized users and watch-lists, watch history, etc. I've been using this one for over a year. Max sent me an email about a week ago and asked me to create a password for it and provide an email and I did that and those are what I use to access it. It has no subscription.
Account2: This just popped into existence. It shows up when I choose to sign in by provider since this issue began a week ago or so. It's blank, it has no email in account settings, it has no user accounts but the default user and a kids account both empty of anything. This one has my directv subscription attached to it.
I need the subscription removed from account2 or that account deleted somehow. When that is done Max will allow me to use my subscription with directv on account one by signing in via it to attach my directv max subscription to it and restore access.

I got it working on my tv a week ago, but wouldn’t work on my iPad or mobile. I used chat support many times with no help. I finally found a phone number for support and got someone who knew what was going on today. On the iPad or mobile, the stand alone Max app will no longer work unless you subscribe direct through Max. So to stream Max on those devices you have to go thru the DirectV app, select Networks at the top, then scroll down to Max/HBO in the Premium section. Select that. Then you can scroll through the shows to pick what you want to see. But there is no Watch List or Continue Watching options to track which shows you’re watching and which episode you’re on. : (
The other option is to use the search bar on the main screen of the DirectV app to find the show on Max you want to watch. It will bring it up, but again, not to the next un-watched episode. So it works on these devices, just not as well as it used to through the actual app for Max.

Okay I figured out how to get it working. I want to say I tried this before so maybe it was fixed at some point.
I logged into the Max account which had been split off, the one Max had asked me to set a password for which was not connected to DirecTV anymore. I then chose to authenticate with a provider and chose AT&T instead of DirecTV and lo and behold it worked! My subscription benefits were applied, I have my users and watch history and bookmarks lists all back.
