Terms of service

I have a couple of quesitons.

1.  Can I subscribe to the streaming service without a 24 month agreement?

2.  Can you access red zone and sunday ticket through DTV?  Currently I think I have to go through youtube tv.

Yes. DIRECTV STREAM offers a no-term commitment service where you can watch sports, news, and movies on compatible devices by downloading the DIRECTV app. Check out our exciting deals here: DIRECTV STREAM - Live Stream TV on Mobile & Streaming Devices and start your 5-day free trial.

While we no longer have residential NFL SUNDAY TICKET rights, you can check out DIRECTV Sports Pack | Watch Pro & College Teams for our specialty sports networks, including NFL Network and NFL RedZone.

NFL Sunday Ticket is provided by YouTube.

@litzdog911 is partially correct.

The service with Sunday Ticket (every Sunday game between 1pm ET and 7pm ET) is YouTube TV. YouTube, of course, is a free service.

NFL RedZone is available on a number of providers including DirecTV Stream. Keep in mind you may have to upgrade your package to one that includes regional sports channels that are outside of your local area. Please note that due to league requirements, these games will be blacked out. (There may be some rebroadcasts that aren't blacked out, although these may have decreased in the years that I had such a package. I believe MLB rebroadcasts are blacked out. At one time, NHL rebroadcasts weren't and I'm not sure if NBA rebroadcasts are blacked out or not.)

DIRECTV STREAM is a bring your own device (BYOD) service. No service agreement or equipment fees. Use the app on compatible devices, or purchase DirecTV's streaming device for a more traditional experience with the remote (channel numbers).

Be careful as there is also DirecTV via Internet. It is streaming-only but the service model is similar to regular DirecTV. That means certain service fees, 24 month agreement, and you are required to use DirecTV's streaming box which you do not own (leased, so is returned upon canceling the service).

NFL ended their agreement with DirecTV a couple years ago. They went with YouTube TV for the Sunday Ticket on a new multi-year deal.

Red Zone is still available on multiple providers.

It's my understanding that you *can* get DirecTV Stream and use DirecTV's device, if you so choose. You can buy them off eBay or anywhere else.

The benefit to using their device, if you choose, is that each stream has a dedicated, unique channel similar to cable or satellite.

Of course, if you don't mind a scrolling setup (like Hulu or YouTube TV), you can use the device you already own.
