So you want to know the differences between Directv Satellite Service and Directv Streaming Service.
Directv Satellite you have to have a Satellite Dish installed on your house and you lease the receiver (which means you don't own them) boxes that are in your home which results in a fee for each box that you have in your home. You also have to pay a fee for the DVR service and any other fees that they want you to pay. They make you sign a 2-year contract for new service so you are committed to it for 2 years unless you want to pay the $ 20-a-month cancelation fee.
Directv Streaming requires you to have a really good internet connection but you can have 20 different streams in your home. This means you can watch on TVs,(Directv Stream App on a smart TV, Roku device, Firestick/Cube, Apple TV, Or Directv Stream Box), Tablets, Computers, and Phones so any combination of 20 of these devices on your home wifi internet network. Plus you can take it with you anywhere and stream on 3 devices 2 which can be TVs outside of your home network. You do not have to pay any device fees you buy and own the devices you stream from. You get free unlimited DVR so no DVR fees. Directv Stream has most of the channels the Satellite service as there are a few that the streaming service does not have but for the most part, the 2 services are pretty much the same. The streaming service is set up like the satellite service. One nice thing it does have is a voice-controlled remote oh and I almost forgot there is no sign-up contract.
