Restart suspended service
My DirecTV Stream was suspended today because my payment method is no longer valid. I need to switch to a different credit card. The problem is I also want to downgrade from Choice to Entertainment package. Chat support told me I have to pay for another month of Choice before I can change the package. Or I could wait a full month without service for my account to be deactivated and then I can start again with whatever package I want. I could also cancel online and restart immediately, but either of those restart options will result in me losing all my DVR recordings which I definitely do not want to do.
So, is there really no way to change my payment method and restart my service immediately but with the Entertainment package instead of Choice, and keep my DVR recordings?
