Remove old DirecTV Stream account

I had DirecTV Now (back then) and stopped using it in 2017(!) and switched to satellite service.  Ever since, when i would log in to directv.com it would make me pick my stream or satellite accounts.  No real issues until last week.  My firestick somehow got signed out of DirecTV, when I went to sign back in it brought me to a screen to pick Stream or Satellite with a promise to be able to change the choice in the settings.  Well I was unable to pick either option, I could move between the 2 options but could never select one.  Log out and now when i log in it appears to bring me to some free tier of DirecTV stream with no ability to switch to my satellite service which i pay a lot of money for.  I have tried changing log ins and passwords and emails and can not figure it out.  I am convinced deleting the old stream account or somehow forcing it to stop being associated with me and my satellite account would solve this.  But this seems impossible.  Please help
